Numbers for iOS

In most cases, you will see no difference when you import a spreadsheet to Numbers for iOS from Numbers for Mac. If your spreadsheet uses features that are not available in Numbers for iOS, you will be prompted whether you would like to open the original version or to create a copy, and changes made to the content or spreadsheet layout are listed for your review.

Below is a list of the changes that are made to Numbers for Mac spreadsheets that are imported and converted to the Numbers for iOS optimized file format:

  • You can view conditional formatting in imported spreadsheets, but you cannot edit it.
  • Table Categories are removed. Tables remain organized and category names are retained as static text.
  • Filtered tables remain filtered on import, and you can turn the filter on and off, but not view the criteria.
