Apple TV: Apple Remote unexpectedly controls a Mac
Summary
When using Apple TV with the Apple Remote, a Mac that is nearby may be unexpectedly controlled as well.

Pair a different Apple Remote with your Mac if you have two or more remotes.
Alternatively, you can disable the IR receiver on your Mac.
- Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu in the upper-left menu bar.
- Choose Security from the View menu.
- Click the lock and enter your Administrator password if necessary.
- Check (enable) the "Disable remote control infrared receiver" checkbox.
