Mac App Store: Changing your account information

Summary

This article explains how to edit your name, billing address, email address, and credit card information for your Mac App Store account. 

Note: Updating your account information for the Mac App Store will also update the billing information for your iTunes Store account associated with that Apple ID.

 Your account information can be edited from the Account Information page. To get to the Account Information page:

  1. Open the Mac App Store.
  2. From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In.
  3. When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Sign In.
  4. From the Store menu, choose Store > View My Account.
  5. Re-enter your Apple ID password. 

To edit or update your Apple ID or email address or password: 

  1. From the Account Information page, click Edit which is to the right of your Apple ID. 
  2. Enter your new email address or password into the appropriate fields.

  3. Click Done to save your changes.

To edit or update your name, billing address, or payment information, follow these instructions:

  1. From the Account Information page, click Edit which is to the right of your payment information.
  2. Make the desired changes to your payment information and billing address. 


    3. Note: To remove your credit card information, click None under Payment Type.

  3. Click Done to save your changes.
