You can find the serial number of your Apple TV in several ways:
- On Apple TV's About screen
- On the bottom of your Apple TV
- In iTunes (Apple TV 1st generation only)
- On the original product packaging
- On the original receipt (or invoice)
On Apple TV's About screen
You can find your serial number in the About screen on your Apple TV. From the main screen, choose Settings, choose General, then choose About.

On the bottom of your Apple TV
You can find the serial number on the information label at the bottom of your Apple TV. Below are examples of what this label looks like for two models of Apple TV.

Note: For Apple TV (1st generation), use iTunes 7.1 or later.
- Connect Apple TV to your computer.
- Open iTunes.
- Select Apple TV in the iTunes Source list.
- Click the Summary tab to see your Apple TV's serial number.
On the original product packaging
If you still have the original packaging for your Apple TV, you can find the serial number on the barcode label that is affixed to the packaging.
On the original receipt (or invoice)
Some retailers may include the serial number of your Apple TV on the receipt.
