MobileMe: About subscribed calendars and the MobileMe Calendar

Summary

iCal can subscribe to various calendars, including some calendars provided by Apple or published by other MobileMe members.

If you use MobileMe Calendar with Mac OS X v10.6.4 Snow Leopard or later, or with iOS 4 or later, you can sync these subscribed calendars via MobileMe from iCal to your iOS 4 device or other computers.

Note: Subscriptions added on iOS devices will not sync to with MobileMe. iPads with iOS 3.2.x, me.com/calendar, and Windows with Microsoft Outlook will not display subscribed calendars synced with MobileMe. iPad users need to upgrade to iOS 4.2 to sync subscribed calendars.

To sync a subscribed calendar between Mac OS X v10.6.4 (and later) computers and iOS 4 devices:

  1. Open iCal.
  2. Right-click on the subscribed calendar.
  3. Select Get Info.
  4. Change location from the default On My Mac to your MobileMe account:
  5. Click OK.
