MobileMe: Using Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard with MobileMe Calendar
Summary
All of your Mac computers with MobileMe Calendar should have Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later as a minimum requirement. Mac OS X v10.6.8 is ideal for Macs with Snow Leopard, but upgrading to OS X Lion is recommended. Mac OS X v10.5 is not fully supported, but can still run basic MobileMe Calendar features.
Note: To see which version of Mac OS X you have, choose About this Mac from the Apple () menu in the upper-left corner. The version is shown directly under "Mac OS X."

- If you have recently synced your MobileMe Calendar with a computer running Mac OS X v10.5.8, you may receive an alert when upgrading MobileMe Calendar. If you are no longer syncing with any computers running Mac OS X v10.5.8, you can safely ignore that warning.
- Features of the MobileMe Calendar that are not available with Mac OS X v10.5.8:
- Push updates. See this article for more information.
- The ability to share and accept shared calendars with others from within iCal. These changes can still be made at me.com/calendar.
- Subscribed calendar syncing.
If you need to sync a computer running Mac OS X v10.5.8 with MobileMe Calendar, follow these steps:
Important: Do not follow these steps until you have successfully upgraded MobileMe Calendar. For more information about upgrading MobileMe Calendar, see this article.
- Open iCal Preferences.
- Click Accounts.
- Click the plus button at the bottom of the page.
- For both Description and Username, enter your full MobileMe email address, including @me.com or @mac.com. If you don't include @me.com or @mac.com, the setup will not be successful.
- Enter your MobileMe password.
- Click the disclosure triangle next to Server Options.
- For Account URL, enter the following without quotes: "https://cal.me.com". Be sure to include the full URL, including the "https://". Note that you do not need to include a closing "/" at the end of the url.
- Click Add.
Now that your MobileMe account is set up, iCal will begin downloading the data from MobileMe Calendar servers.
