Magic Trackpad: Avoiding unintentional clicks
Learn what to do if your supported Mac portable trackpad or Magic Trackpad unexpectedly appears to select (or drag across) a given area on the display after you install Magic Trackpad and Multi-Touch Trackpad Update 1.0.
- Try double-tapping the trackpad to release any previous unintentional selections.
- Download and install the Mac OS X v10.6.5 (or later) software update.
To avoid unintentional highlighting and selecting, disable Dragging.
- Choose Apple () > System Preferences.
- Choose Trackpad.
- Deselect the checkbox beside Dragging (under One Finger) to disable dragging.
