Magic Trackpad: Avoiding unintentional clicks

Learn what to do if your supported Mac portable trackpad or Magic Trackpad unexpectedly appears to select (or drag across) a given area on the display after you install Magic Trackpad and Multi-Touch Trackpad Update 1.0.

To avoid unintentional highlighting and selecting, disable Dragging.

  1. Choose Apple () > System Preferences
  2. Choose Trackpad.
  3. Deselect the checkbox beside Dragging (under One Finger) to disable dragging.
