Known issues with Mail at me.com as of June 17, 2010:

  • Some message previews will not appear until you select the message.
  • The Archive folder is named "Archive" even in non-English languages when checking email on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and mail clients on Mac and PC. See this article for details.
  • When attaching files larger than the maximum (20 MB), the alert message "Error loading message" is displayed instead of "Message attachment exceeds the maximum size (20MB)."
  • Newly-created mail rules may take up to 15 minutes before they take effect.
  • Rules only apply to new, incoming messages, not those already in your inbox or other folders.
  • You will not receive push notifications for messages moved by rules from your inbox to another folder on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. See this article for details.
  • Messages sent from Mail at me.com may appear to have an incorrect time stamp if you look at the Sent folder from other email applications (such as Mac OS X Mail). This will not affect the recipient(s) of the message.
  • Searching for a name using "double-byte" characters (e.g. Japanese characters) may not result in a successful search.
  • If there are more than approximately 250 messages being found in your search results, you may not be able to see all of them. To find your message, refine the search to limit the number of results.
  • For some accounts, when composing a message, only your email address may appear, with no First or Last name. If you encounter this issue, you can adjust this setting in the Addresses section of Preferences.
  • External POP email accounts that require POP over SSL cannot be set up in Mail at me.com. See this article for details about setting up email forwarding from external email accounts.
  • Messages in the Junk folder are now automatically deleted after 30 days.

Note that the following features are no longer available in the new Mail at me.com:

  • Quick Reply.
  • Resizable columns in Classic view.
  • Built-in spell checker (use of your web browser's built-in spell checker is supported instead). See this article for details.
  • Importing a vCard contact directly from MobileMe Mail into MobileMe Contacts.
