You can buy select movies and albums with iTunes Extras and iTunes LP directly on your Apple TV (1st generation)*.
When you buy a film with iTunes Extras on your Apple TV (1st generation), you’ll receive the featured movie and chapter selection along with special features** such as movie stills, deleted scenes, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage. When you purchase an album with iTunes LP on your Apple TV, you receive the songs from the album, plus special features** such as lyrics, photos, videos, credits, and more.
* iTunes Extras and iTunes LP content is only compatible with Apple TV (1st generation) and requires Apple TV software version 3.0 or later.
** Special features vary by title.
- Movies with iTunes Extras content will display the iTunes Extras badges in the upper right-hand corner of the item's product page and the
icon in the Movie Details section.

- Albums with iTunes LP content will display the iTunes LP badge below the album art in the album's product page and the
icon to the left of the iTunes LP item.

- When you purchase a movie with iTunes Extras from the iTunes Store on your Apple TV 1st generation (running Apple TV software version 3.0 or later), your movie and iTunes Extras content will download to My Movies and can be identified by the
icon to the right of it.
- To play an iTunes Extras movie on your Apple TV, navigate to a recently purchased movie with iTunes Extras (
) and simply select that movie to start it. You can also press and hold the select button on your remote to display a contextual menu with more options.
- When you purchase an album with iTunes LP from the iTunes Store on your Apple TV 1st generation (running Apple TV software version 3.0 or later), your album and iTunes LP content will download to My Music and can be identified by the
icon to the right of it.
To play an iTunes LP album on your Apple TV (1st generation), navigate to a recently purchased Album with iTunes LP and select the iTunes LP item (with the adjacent
icon) from the album list.
- A movie, and its accompanying iTunes Extras content, can be synced between iTunes on your computer and your Apple TV (1st generation) as long as you have iTunes 10 or later and Apple TV 3.0 or later. Similarly, an album, and its accompanying iTunes LP, can be synced between iTunes on your computer and your Apple TV as long as you have iTunes 10 or later and Apple TV 3.0 or later.
- If you are running Apple TV version 2.4 or earlier, you will only be able to sync the primary content for a movie or album with iTunes Extras or LP from your iTunes* library to your Apple TV. The additional files will stay on your computer.
- If you have purchased movies with iTunes Extras or albums with iTunes LPs from an Apple TV running 2.4 or earlier, you will only receive the primary content on your Apple TV. iTunes LP or iTunes Extras will download to iTunes* on your computer when you choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
* iTunes 10.0 or later is required for iTunes Extras and iTunes LPs.

Note: Some content types are not available in some iTunes Store countries. iTunes Extras is not available with movie rentals.
