Final Cut Server 1.5: Steps to take after upgrading Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard

Summary

On your Final Cut Server, after upgrading Mac OS X Server to Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard, perform the following steps to configure your Final Cut Server system for use. If these steps are not taken you may encounter an ''Object not found" page when attempting to connect to your Final Cut Server client download webpage.

Note: These steps are no longer necessary if you have updated to Final Cut Server 1.5.1 and Mac OS X v10.6.2.

  1. Enable the Web service by entering the following commands in Terminal, each on a single line:

    sudo /usr/sbin/serveradmin settings < /Library/Application\ Support/Final\ Cut\ Server/Final\ Cut\ Server.bundle/Contents/Resources/share/conf/server_apache2_snowleopard.settings

    After the previous command is complete enter:

    sudo sed -i .bak "s/^short_open_tag = Off$/short_open_tag = On/" /etc/php.ini

  2. Add Web Service to configured services in Server Admin if it is not already in the list of services.

  3. Restart the Web Service in Server Admin.

  4. Connect to Final Cut Server via http://hostname-of-server/finalcutserver.
