About Calendar subscriptions on your iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 3.1 or later
Summary
With iOS 3.1 on your iPhone or iPod touch, you can subscribe to calendars published by MobileMe members, as well as other published calendars (such as the ones available here). There are several ways to get these calendars onto your iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 3.1 or later.

Syncing with MobileMe
If you have a subscribed calendar in iCal in Mac OS X and sync your computer with MobileMe, it will sync to your iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 3.1.
Note: If you manually added a subscribed calendar on your iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 3.0 or later, after updating to 3.1, your subscribed calendars may now appear twice if you have that subscribed calendar in iCal and are syncing with MobileMe. You can safely delete the calendar added directly on the iPhone or iPod touch by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, tapping on the name of the calendar, and then tapping Delete Account.
Not Syncing with MobileMe
If someone sends you an email invitation to a subscribed calendar on your iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, you can add this to your phone with the following steps:
- Open calendar invitation email on your iPhone or iPod touch and tap the link to set up the subscription to the calendar. For MobileMe and many other calendars, this URL will start with "webcal://".
- Tap "subscribe" in the dialog that is triggered by the link.
Note: Subscribed calendars added to your iPhone this way (or by manually entering the calendar information) will not sync with MobileMe.
Additional Information
MobileMe members can publish a calendar that others can subscribe to by choosing Publish from the Calendar menu in iCal.
While a Birthday calendar may appear in the Subscriptions calendar of iCal, it is not a normal subscription calendar, and cannot be added to your iPhone/iPod touch.
