Only use AirPort Utility 5.4, or later, with Time Capsule 802.11n (2nd Generation) or AirPort Extreme 802.11n (3rd Generation)

Summary

You should only use AirPort Utility 5.4, or later, with your AirPort Extreme 802.11n (3rd Generation) or Time Capsule 802.11n (2nd Generation). Tip: Update to AirPort Utility 5.4.1 or later for best results.

Earlier versions of AirPort Utility may not offer expected features or may not be able to configure your hardware properly, and should not be used.

You can check which version of AirPort Utility you're using by opening AirPort Utility (located in /Application/Utilities) and choosing About AirPort Utility from the AirPort Utility menu. If you don't have version 5.4 or later, install it from the disc that came with your product, or download and install the latest version.
 

Important: If your product is represented by the following icon in AirPort Utility, do not try to configure it--you should install and use AirPort Utility 5.4 or later.
