MobileMe: Adding, renaming, or deleting folders on your iDisk
Summary
You can't rename or delete any of the default folders at the root level of the iDisk (the folders you see when you first open the iDisk).

The default folders are:
- Backup
- Documents
- Groups (will only exist if you previously used .Mac Groups)
- Library
- Movies
- Music
- Pictures
- Public
- Shared (will only exist if you have a MobileMe Family Pack account)
- Sites
- Software
- Web (created the first time you publish to MobileMe Gallery or publish to MobileMe from iWeb)
It is not recommended you create any new files or folders at the root level of your iDisk. A large number of items at the root level of your iDisk can affect overall iDisk performance.
Once you are inside any of the default folders, you can create or delete subfolders as you would in any other folder. Keep in mind that some folders (such as Sites and Web) may have files and folders in them that were put there by an application, which you should not remove or rename.
