Summary

In Mac OS X 10.5 or later, Migration Assistant may state "Looking for other computers", but may not show the computer you are attempting to migrate from.

Make sure that Bonjour services are enabled. On the computer that you are migrating from:

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. From the View menu, choose Security.
  3. Click the Firewall tab.
  4. Verify that "Allow all incoming connections" is selected. If not, select (check) this option.
