The aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard (2009) requires:
- A Macintosh computer with built-in Bluetooth.
- Mac OS X v10.6.2 Snow Leopard.

Apple Magic Mouse requires:
- A Macintosh computer with built-in Bluetooth.
- Mac OS X v10.5.8 Leopard with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0 or Mac OS X v10.6.1 Snow Leopard with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0.

- Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later.
- Two AA batteries for the Apple Wireless Mouse (2007).
- Three AA batteries for the Apple Wireless Keyboard (2007).
The original Apple Wireless Keyboard or Apple Wireless Mouse require:
- A Macintosh computer with built-in Bluetooth or a D-Link USB Bluetooth Adapter (part number DBT-120, rev. B2 or later).
- Mac OS X v10.2.6 or later.
- Two AA batteries for the Apple Wireless Mouse.
- Four AA batteries for the Apple Wireless Keyboard.
