Apple Wireless Keyboard: How to find the serial number

You can find your serial number in several places:

• On the surface of the keyboard
• On the original product packaging
• On the original receipt (or invoice)

On the surface of the keyboard

The serial number of the Apple Wireless Keyboard is located on the bottom of the keyboard. The exact location will vary depending on the style of keyboard. For aluminum keyboards, the serial number is located near the power button or centered between the power button and battery access cover. 

For the original Apple Wireless Keyboard, the serial number is located beneath the battery access door latch as shown below.

On the original product packaging

If you still have the original packaging for your keyboard, you can find the serial number on the barcode label that is affixed to the packaging.

On the original receipt (or invoice)

Some retailers may include the serial number of your keyboard on the receipt.
