Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later is required to use scroll ball features, additional side and scroll ball buttons, and (for the wireless mouse) the System Preferences' battery level indicator. If you have an earlier version of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger installed, update to Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later.
