Archived - Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse: Compatible Bluetooth Adapters

To use the Apple Wireless Keyboard or Apple Wireless Mouse with a computer that does not have built-in Bluetooth, you can use the USB Bluetooth adapter described in this document.

To use the Apple Wireless Keyboard or Apple Wireless Mouse with a computer that does not have built-in Bluetooth, you can use the USB Bluetooth adapter described in this document.

Apple has tested these Bluetooth adapters for use with the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Apple Wireless Mouse:

  • Built-in Bluetooth hardware included with some Macintosh computers. For a list of computers that have built-in Bluetooth hardware, see technical document 86207, "Bluetooth: Macintosh Computers With Built-In Bluetooth", to see which computers have built-in Bluetooth.
  • D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth adapter (rev. B2 or later)


Note:

Apple tests its products with various non-Apple peripherals so that your experience is as good as possible. With the number of non-Apple products available on the market, however, it is not possible to test and verify every possible configuration.

 

For optimal performance of your Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, be sure you have the most recent bluetooth update installed. Use the Software Update pane of System Preferences or find the appropriate update in
