Soundtrack: How to Configure Digidesign Audio Devices

In order to use Digidesign audio devices with Soundtrack, you must download and install version 6.1.1 or later of Digidesign's CoreAudio driver. Without a properly configured CoreAudio driver, the alert: "Recording alert: failure occurred when preparing the device (null)" appears in Soundtrack when you try to select the Digidesign device as an input source.

After installing the Digidesign CoreAudio driver, you will need to specifically add Soundtrack to the list of supported applications using the Digidesign CoreAudio Setup program that is also installed.
