Keynote 2: Which transition and build effects can be played on my computer?
Summary
Some Keynote 2 transition effects and builds will play on any supported computer, some require slightly more powerful hardware, and others can only be played on computers with advanced video hardware.

The following transition effects will play on any supported computer with video hardware that supports OpenGL on Mac OS X (except the ATI Rage 128 card):
- Page Flip
- Droplet
- Iris (also a build)
- Radial
The following transition effects will play on any supported computer with video hardware that supports ARB Fragment Programs (see below for specifics).
- Burn
- Flash
Video hardware configurations that support ARB Fragment Programs include:
- NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
- NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200
- nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9600
- ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
- ATI Radeon 9600 XT
- ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
- ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
- ATI Radeon 9800 XT
If you're not sure what type of video hardware your computer has, you can easily find the information in System Profiler. To view card information in System Profiler:
- From the Apple menu, choose About This Mac.
- Click More Info.
- Click PCI/AGP Cards (under Hardware).
Your computer's card chipset name appears under the Card column.
Once you've found the chipset name, locate it in the table below to find out the card name. (In our example, we used the table to find that our chipset name, "R350," is an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.)
This table lists the supported graphic cards and the chipset names as they appear in System Profiler.
