When you connect your iPod nano, iPod touch (2nd generation), or iPhone 3GS to your computer and the Internet, iTunes sends your workout data to nikeplus.com, where you can track your progress over time, view a record of all your past workouts, set and monitor goals, and compare your results with others. You can even compete with other online Nike + iPod users in workout challenges.
iPod touch, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1 can send workout data wirelessly to nikeplus.com from the device. For additional information on uploading directly from your device, please see the user guide for iOS 4.1.
To send your workout data to nikeplus.com using iTunes
- After a workout, connect your iPod or iPhone 3GS to your computer. iTunes opens automatically.
- If this is your first time connecting to iTunes with workout data from your Nike + iPod Sport Kit or Sensor, iTunes will ask if you would like your workout data sent to nikeplus.com.
Click Send to have iTunes send your workout data to nikeplus.com.
- Click Visit in the dialog that asks if you want to go to nikeplus.com.
- Once you are on the nikeplus.com website, select Save Your Runs, then click Sign Me Up and follow the onscreen instructions.
Once you've set iTunes to send your workout data to nikeplus.com, iTunes sends the latest data automatically whenever you connect your iPod nano, iPod touch (2nd generation), or iPhone 3GS to your computer, which must be connected to the Internet. The nikeplus.com website opens, and you're logged in automatically.
When uploading to nikeplus.com from your computer, iPod touch, or iPhone, please ensure that you have either logged in or created a new account before closing the page. If you close the page without logging in, your workout data will be lost.
