Requesting access to someone else's DVD drive

To send a request to the computer whose optical disc drive you are trying to access, click Remote Disc on your MacBook Air then click the Ask to use... button in the top right of the window. The other computer will receive a prompt to either accept or deny your use of its optical disc drive.
