Setting up your wireless Mighty Mouse

Summary

If the wireless Mighty Mouse will not operate and will not appear in the Bluetooth pane of System Preferences, install the supporting software. The wireless Mighty Mouse will not work until the software has been installed

To install the software:

  1. Insert the installation disc that came with your wireless Mighty Mouse into your computer's optical drive.
  2. On the installation disc, open the file called AppleMouseSoftware.pkg.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the software.

Once the software is installed, it will ask you to restart the computer. You need to restart the computer to complete the installation process.

After restarting, you'll need to set up your wireless Mighty Mouse using the Bluetooth pane of System Preferences:

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
  2. Choose the Bluetooth pane.
  3. Click the Set Up New Device button.
  4. Follow the instructions to set up the wireless Mighty Mouse.

Your wireless Mighty Mouse settings are controlled with the Keyboard and Mouse pane of System Preferences.
