MobileMe: Finding MobileMe sync logs in Mac OS X

Mac OS X v10.6
The MobileMe sync log file is named "mobilemesync.log", and can be found in ~/Library/Logs/Sync ("~" represents your Home folder).
Or, you can find them using Console:
- Open Console (located in /Applications/Utilities)
- In the upper left corner, click "Show Log List"
- Under the "FILES" section, click the disclosure triangle next to "~/Library/Logs"
- Click the disclosure triangle next to Sync
- Click "mobilemesync.log"
The most recent activity is logged in mobilemesync.log. You have additional the log files (ending with a number), which are earlier archived log files.
Mac OS X v10.4.11 - Mac OS X v10.5.8
The MobileMe sync log file is named "dotmacsync.log", and can be found in ~/Library/Logs/Sync ("~" represents your Home folder).
Or, you can find them using Console:
- Open Console (located in /Applications/Utilities)
- In the upper left corner, click "Show Log List"
- Click the disclosure triangle next to "~/Library/Logs"
- Click the disclosure triangle next to Sync
- Click "dotmacsync.log"
The most recent activity is logged in dotmacsync.log. You have additional the log files (ending with a number), which are earlier archived log files.
Additional Information
Using Console, you can save a copy of the log file to your desktop or another location choosing Save a Copy As from the File menu.
If you upgraded from a previous version of Mac OS X to Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard, you may have both the "dotmacsync.log" file as well as "mobilemesync.log". This is because the "dotmacsync.log" files are not removed when you update to Snow Leopard.
