Mac OS X Mail: wat is een winmail.dat-bijlage?

U vraagt zich misschien af wat winmail-dat-bijlagen zijn; dit zijn de bijlagen die Mail weergeeft met een "vraagteken over tekst"-pictogram.
Producten waarbij dit probleem kan optreden
Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange Client
De bijlage betekent dat de e-mail werd verzonden vanaf een e-mailprogramma van Microsoft (zoals Outlook en Microsoft Exchange Client) en bevat RTF-informatie (Rich Text Format) zoals hoe lettertypen, kleuren en speciale kenmerken (zoals onderlijning en weergave in vet) moeten verschijnen in de e-mail (de bijlage verschijnt niet in Outlook maar verschijnt wel in Mail; het kan verschijnen in andere e-mailprogramma's zoals een MIME-onderdeel genaamd "application/ms-tnef").
Deze bijlagen vermijden
Als u deze bijlagen niet langer wilt zien, vraagt u de afzender om het keuzevakje of de voorkeurinstelling "Berichten aan geadresseerde altijd verzenden in de RTF-indeling van Microsoft Outlook" in de e-mailclient uit te vinken voordat ze het bericht verzenden.
