Ein solcher Anhang weist darauf hin, dass die entsprechende E-Mail mit einem E-Mail-Programm von Microsoft (z. B. Outlook oder Microsoft Exchange Client) verschickt wurde und Rich-Text-Informationen enthält. Diese Informationen legen fest, wie Schriften, Farben und sonstige Attribute, wie Unterstreichungen oder Fettdruck, in der E-Mail angezeigt werden. Während der Anhang in Outlook nicht sichtbar ist, wird er in Mail angezeigt. In anderen E-Mail-Programmen kann er außerdem als MIME-Abschnitt mit dem Namen "application/ms-tnef" angezeigt werden.
So vermeiden Sie solche Anhänge
Damit solche Anhänge zukünftig nicht mehr angezeigt werden, bitten Sie den Absender darum, bei entsprechenden E-Mails die Option "Für diesen Empfänger Microsoft Rich-Text-Format verwenden" zu deaktivieren, bevor dieser seine E-Mails verschickt.
