Notes
1. The Power Macintosh 7300, 7500, 7600, 8500, 8600, 9500, and 9600 series computers have a memory interleaving feature. Although you can install DIMMs one at a time, you can get increased performance by installing them in pairs.
2. 128 MB DIMMs are available and can fit into the memory slots on the Power Macintosh 7200, 7500, 7600, 8500, and 9500 computers. However, these DIMMs have not be tested with these computers and are therefore not supported by Apple.
3. Too many to list.
4. A Power Macintosh G3 in a desktop enclosure is capable of taking 128 MB DIMMs. However, smaller 128 MB DIMMs must be used due to space constraints. For additional information, refer to article 24343, "Power Macintosh G3 (Desktop): 128 MB Memory DIMM Support"
5. Only on the Revision 3 of the logic board. To identify which revision logic board you have, refer to article 24924: "Power Macintosh G3: Identifying The Logic Board Revision".
6. Although 2 GB can be physically installed, a maximum of 1.5 GB is recognized by Mac OS 9. Mac OS X will see the entire 2 GB.
7. The Power Mac G4 Cube requires a shorter DIMM. See technical document 42671 "Power Mac G4 Cube: Must Use 35 mm RAM DIMMs"
