MobileMe: Viewing and editing To Dos with MobileMe

You can create To Do items with your Mac OS X Mail or iCal application in order to keep track of important things that need to be done. Since MobileMe makes it possible to view your email and calendars in a web browser, you can access your To Do items from anywhere with the right settings. To Do items can be saved to the MobileMe email server, but MobileMe Mail will not display them. Use the Mail application (in Mac OS X), iCal, or MobileMe Calendar to see and edit To Do items.
MobileMe Calendar
Your To Do items are synced with your iCal calendars to MobileMe. As a result, you can view and edit the To Do items stored on calendars viewable in MobileMe Calendar. To learn more about syncing with MobileMe, please visit the Sync section of MobileMe Help.
Note: MobileMe Calendar will only display calendars created locally in iCal, directly in MobileMe Calendar, or from your iPhone or iPod touch. The Calendar application on the iPhone and iPod touch does not support creating or displaying To Do items.
Creating To Dos that can be viewed on your MobileMe Calendar
Since MobileMe Calendar does not display calendars from iCal that are stored remotely on the MobileMe mail server, you will need to save your To Do items to a local calendar. In iCal, these calendars will be listed under the Calendars category in the Calendar List. You can add a new local calendar to iCal by choosing Add Calendar > On My Mac from the File menu.
If you are adding To Do items to iCal calendars using Mac OS X Mail, you will need to save them to On My Mac. If you would like to save all of your To Dos to On My Mac, you can change your Mac OS X Mail Preferences:
- Open Mac OS X Mail.
- Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
- Click the Composing tab.
- Choose "On My Mac" from the "Create Notes & To Do's In:" pop-up menu.
- Close the Preferences window.
Viewing To Dos
Once you have synced your calendars to MobileMe, you can view the To Dos on your MobileMe Calendar by choosing Show To Dos from the Action menu 
. Your To Do items will display in a list on the right.
