Aperture 3: How to select photos from your Aperture library to upload to a website

Learn how to upload photos from your Aperture library to a website.

Many websites allow you to select photos from your computer to upload. You can navigate to and select images from your Aperture library with these steps:

  1. After choosing to upload photos on the website you're using, a Finder window will open in which you can locate the files to upload.
  2. When searching for images to upload, click Photos under MEDIA in the sidebar.
  3. Click Aperture.
  4. Choose the photo of photos you would like to use and then click Open at the bottom-right corner.

Note: This workflow uploads previews of your photos. Depending on how you have configured the Photo Preview setting in the Previews pane of the Aperture Preferences, the size of the previews uploaded may be smaller than the originals. If you need to upload larger photos than your preview settings accommodate, use Aperture's Export Version function to create a JPEGs of the size you need.
