Apple TV: Basic troubleshooting

Is your Apple TV not working as you expected? There's usually a quick and simple solution.

Resolve network or streaming issues

If you're streaming content from a computer or iOS device using Airplay or Home Sharing, try these steps:

Resolve video, audio, or power issues

Check the connections and inputs

  1. Make sure the cables between your Apple TV, AV receiver (if used), and TV are connected properly.
  2. Securely connect the power cords for your Apple TV, AV receiver (if used), and TV to a working power source.
  3. Turn on your TV and switch it to the correct input on your AV receiver or television.
  4.  Restart your Apple TV, your television, and AV receiver.
