Products Affected

iMovie

Be sure you are running the latest version of iMovie by choosing Software Update from the Apple () menu.

Note: See iMovie: Pure Digital Flip Video MinoHD camcorder if you are using a MinoHD camcorder.

  • Connect your Mino camcorder and run the "Flip Video for Mac" application from the disk image that mounts to your Desktop. You can also download the latest Flip Video Program from the support section of the Pure Digital web site.
  • Next, install the "3ivx MPEG-4 Decoder" or “codec.” The 3ivx codec works with iMovie '08 to open the .AVI files imported from Mino camcorders.

  • You can now use iMovie to import movies from your Mino camcorder.

    1. In iMovie, choose Import Movies from the File menu.
    2. Locate the Flip Video camcorder in the import window sidebar. Select the DCIM folder and then select the 100VIDEO folder. For each video you recorded, you will find a video file in .AVI format.

    3. Select the files that you would like to import. Select a destination, Event name, and video size setting.
    4. Click Import.
