Downloading Software

  1. When you download new software (including iTunes and iPod software), a new information bar appears near the top of the Internet Explorer window.

  2. Click this information bar and select Download the File...

  3. A File Download window appears:

  4. Click Save, and choose where you want to save the file.

Clicking on links to the iTunes Store (without first installing iTunes)

  1. If you don't have iTunes installed, and you click on a link to the iTunes Store in an email or on a webpage, you will now see a message reading: "The page cannot be displayed." This page also has the new information bar near the top with the following text: "The previous site might require the following Active X control : 'iTunes Detector' from Apple, Inc. Click here to install."

  2. Click this information bar and select Install ActiveX Control

  3. An Internet Explorer - Security Warning appears.

  4. Click Install.
