O iMovie ’08 ou posterior e as câmaras Sony HDR-CX11, HDRCX12, HDR-SR1 e HDR-SR7 deverão funcionar com conteúdos AVCHD (alta definição) e MPEG-2 definição standard (SD) quando cumprir as seguintes directivas.

Se as câmaras Sony HDR-CX11, HDRCX12, HDR-SR1, HDR-SR7 e HDR-SR12 incluirem conteúdos HD (AVCHD) e SD (MPEG-2), o iMovie ’08 ou posterior consegue importar o conteúdo SD (MPEG-2). No entanto, para importar os conteúdos HD (AVCHD) para um Mac baseado em Intel, deverá apagar primeiro o conteúdo SD (MPEG-2) na câmara.
