To find the serial number using software

To find the serial number located on the computer

 

 
On the base of the computer

The serial number and Ethernet ID number with bar codes are printed on a label under the foot of the iMac.
If you use this method to locate your computer's serial number, hold the sides of the iMac and gently lay the computer face down on a soft, clean towel or cloth.
