Does the iTunes Store for iPhone and iPod touch work over a cellular data network?
For all types of available content, the iTunes Store for iPhone and iPod touch works over Wi-Fi. If you own an iPhone, you can also use a cellular network.2 There may be a limit on the maximum download size of an item over the cellular data network.

Bonus items such as music videos will download directly to your iPhone or iPod touch. Digital booklets are available for download when you log in to the iTunes Store on your computer.
Every item you buy on your iPhone or iPod touch syncs back to your Mac or PC the next time you connect. If you've only partially downloaded an item on your mobile device, you can resume the download by reconnecting to a network. Otherwise, your computer will complete the download automatically.
