Finding the timecode in iTunes
Products Affected
iTunes
To find the timecode (or elapsed time) of a specific point in a video or audio file in iTunes, click the small triangle (1) in the display window until a progress bar appears:

While the file is playing, the advancing number to the left of the progress bar is the timecode (2). You should include the timecode if you ever need to contact iTunes Customer Service about a quality concern for a specific video, music file, or audiobook purchased from the iTunes Store. To contact iTunes customer service and report a quality concern, use the "Report a Problem" link in your Purchase History:
- Locate the song or video in your Purchase History.
- Click the "Report a Problem" link.
- Select "This item looks or sounds bad."
- To expedite your request, please tell us the timecode where the issue appears.
Our support agents will review your request and get back to you as quickly as possible (usually within 24 hours).
