Summary

Final Cut Server requires specific TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) ports to be open on your server.   If you have a firewall configured or you are using the Mac OS X Server firewall, you must enable these ports before you can use Final Cut Server.

Products Affected

Final Cut Server

Open the following ports:

Port Description
80 http web service
8821 stored (store server to communicate with server)
8891 ldsd (data transfers)

Note
: If you run Final Cut Server on a secure network behind a firewall, you don’t need to configure firewall settings as long as communication between users is within the network. Firewall settings are required to communicate outside the firewall.
