iPhone en iPod touch: configuratie van e-mailaccount
Overzicht
Mail is een e-mailclient voor berichten met HTML-opmaak op de iPhone en iPod touch die compatibel is met de meeste gangbare e-mailsystemen zoals Yahoo!, Gmail (van Google), AOL en MobileMe van Apple, alsook met de meeste POP3-, IMAP- en Microsoft Exchange-e-mailsystemen. Met Mail kunt u foto's en afbeeldingen verzenden en ontvangen, die samen met de tekst in uw bericht worden weergegeven. Met Mail kunt u PDF-, Microsoft Word- en Excel-bestanden en andere bijlagen op de iPhone of iPod touch weergeven.

E-mailaccounts configureren
Met Mail kunt u uw e-mailaccount eenvoudig configureren. De eerste keer dat u uw e-mailaccount op de iPhone of iPod touch configureert, tikt u op het beginscherm op het symbool Mail. Als u een extra account met softwareversie 2.0 of hoger toevoegt, tikt u op het beginscherm op het symbool Instellingen en selecteert u achtereenvolgens Mail, Contacten, Agenda en Voeg account toe.
Als u een Microsoft Exchange-, MobileMe-, Gmail-, Yahoo!- of AOL-account wilt instellen, tikt u op het scherm Voeg account toe op de symbolen voor deze services en voert u uw accountinformatie in. Als u een e-mailaccount van een andere provider configureert, selecteert u Anders. In softwareversie 2.0 of hoger kunnen veel gangbare POP- en IMAP-e-mailaccounts automatisch worden geconfigureerd met alleen uw e-mailadres en wachtwoord.1Wanneer in Mail instellingen worden gezocht die bij uw e-mailaccount horen, verschijnt mogelijk een bericht waarin eventuele beperkingen worden beschreven die u kunt ondervinden bij het gebruik van uw e-mailaccount. Als in Mail geen instellingen kunnen worden gevonden die nodig zijn voor de configuratie van uw e-mailaccount, raadpleegt u de documentatie van uw e-mailprovider voor informatie over hoe u een e-mailaccount handmatig configureert.
E-mailaccountinstellingen synchroniseren naar de iPhone of iPod touch
U gebruikt iTunes om uw e-mailaccountinstellingen naar de iPhone of iPod touch te synchroniseren. iTunes ondersteunt Mail op een Mac en Microsoft Outlook (2007 of 2003) en Outlook Express op een pc. Zie het artikel iPhone en iPod touch synchroniseren met uw computer voor meer informatie.
Opmerking: door de e-mailaccountinstellingen naar de iPhone of iPod touch te synchroniseren, kopieert u de configuratie van de e-mailaccount, niet de berichten zelf. Afhankelijk van uw type e-mailaccount en hoe deze is geconfigureerd, worden berichten in uw postbus op de iPhone of iPod touch en/of uw computer weergegeven. Mogelijk dient u uw wachtwoord op het apparaat in te voeren nadat uw accountinstellingen zijn gesynchroniseerd.
Als u geen e-mailaccount hebt
De meeste internetaanbieders bieden e-mailaccounts met een abonnement tegen betaling aan. E-mailaccounts zijn ook beschikbaar bij de MobileMe-service van Apple. Ga voor meer informatie over MobileMe naar www.apple.com/nl/mobileme.
