Summary

 After an upgrade from Xsan 1.x to Xsan 2, volumes may initially be unavailable.

On-disk data structures are updated following the system upgrade. Volumes will not be available until this update completes.

Allow the on-disk data structures update to complete.

Status messages indicating progress of volume updates are periodically written to the cvlog log. You can check either of these logs to monitor update progress and estimate time remaining.
