Aperture and iPhoto: How to sign in to place an order

Learn how to sign in and place orders for Apple's print products such as books, calendars, and cards featuring your photos.

iPhoto '09 and earlier or Aperture 

  1. Verify that your computer is connected to the Internet, then open iPhoto or Aperture.
  2. Select a photo from your library by clicking it one time.
  3. From the File menu, choose Order Prints.
  4. Click Account Info or Set Up Account.
  5. Enter your Apple ID, which can be the same as your email address, but doesn't have to be.

    Tip: You can use your iCloud account name and password anywhere an Apple ID is required.

    If your Apple ID is an email address, be sure to enter the complete address, such as "yourname@me.com." Click here for more information on your Apple ID accounts.
  6. Enter your password and click Sign In and then click Done. Your Apple ID will be displayed on the left side of the order window just above the shipping options menus.
  7. Click Cancel (your account info will still be saved).

iPhoto '11

  1. Verify that your computer is connected to the Internet, then open iPhoto.
  2. From the main iPhoto window, click a project in the Source list. If you are in the Book shelf view, double click a project. 
  3. Choose Buy Card, Buy Book, or Buy Calendar at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Enter the quantity and select Check Out.
  5. Enter your Apple ID, which can be the same as your email address, but doesn't have to be. 

    Tip: You can use your iCloud email address and password anywhere an Apple ID is required.

  6. Enter your password, click Sign In, and continue to place your order.
