The SyncServices folder is located in the Application Support folder, in the Library folder of your Home folder. It stores information related to synchronizing data such as contacts and calendars across devices and computers. Deleting or modifying things in the SyncServices folder may cause unexpected results such as:
- Duplicate contacts or appointments
- Deleted contacts or appointments
Important: Any lost or duplicate data could propagate to other devices and computers you sync with. This means data could be lost on other computers and devices.
If you are attempting to troubleshoot an issue that involves this folder, try resetting sync services instead.
If resetting SyncServices does not resolve the issue, try advanced Sync Services troubleshooting steps instead.
Note: OS X Mavericks v10.9 - OS X Mavericks v10.9.2 do not use Sync Services. Update to OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 or later if you want to sync your contact or calendars with iTunes 11.2 or later using USB. You can also sync your contact and calendar data directly to your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch using cloud-based services, like iCloud.
